چکیده
Background and Objectives: Acrylic resin had a long history of been used in the fabrication denture since they exhibit better chemical bond between teeth base. With increasing use dentures, detachment from dentures also increased proportionally. Denture disinfection is an essential procedure for maintaining good hygiene denture. The aim study to evaluate effect on shear strength heat activated base.Objectives1.To acrylic base measured using universal testing machine (Instron) expressed MPa.2.To analyse bonding failure tooth interface stereomicroscope at 25 X magnification. Methodology: Two commercial brands (Acryrock Ivostar) were tested. There 12 subgroups study. Each brand was divided into six comprising five experimental one control group. In subgroup A1B1 A2B2 (chemical disinfection) specimens immersed 4% chlorhexidine sodium perborate monohydrate solution 15 minutes daily 19 days respectively, Subgroup A3B3 (mechanical subjected mechanical 14 hours A4B4 A5B5 followed by with respectively. Control group A6B6 distilled water 37degree Celsius days. Shear performed cross head speed 1mm/minute. Bond rates quantified classified as adhesive, cohesive or mixed. Data analyzed independent t test chi-square test. Results: subgroupA1B1 subgroupA2B2, (p=0.615) (p=0.615), (p

Shear Bond Strength of Acrylic Denture Teeth to PMMA and Polyamide Denture Base Materials
Introduction: Detachment of denture teeth from denture base is one of the most common reasons for costly denture repairs .This study aimed at evaluating the bond strength of an acrylic denture tooth to polyamide injection-molded thermoplastic denture base material compared with three conventional polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) denture base resins. Materials and Method: A total of 40 acrylic dent...
متن کاملEffect of potentially chromogenic beverages on shear bond strength of acrylic denture teeth to heat-polymerized denture base resins
BACKGROUND Detachment of denture acrylic resin artificial teeth from denture base resin is one of the most common problems presented by denture wearers. PURPOSE This study investigated the shear bond strength (SBS) and fracture type of bonding interface of two commercial acrylic teeth (Vipi Dent Plus e Biolux) to two denture base resins (Vipi Cril e Lucitone 550) after immersion in potentiall...

متن کاملTensile and shear bond strength of hard and soft denture relining materials to the conventional heat cured acrylic denture base resin: An In-vitro study.
BACKGROUND The condition of the denture bearing tissues may be adversely affected by high stress concentration during function. Chairside Denture (Hard and Soft) reliners are used to distribute forces applied to soft tissues during function. Tensile and shear bond strength has been shown to be dependent on their chemical composition. A weak bond could harbor bacteria, promote staining and delam...
متن کاملShear bond strength of acrylic teeth to acrylic denture base after different surface conditioning methods.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Acrylic resin ruled the dental profession for 60 years, and this success is attributed to its aesthetics, handling properties, physical and biological compatibility, its stability in oral environment and its cost effectiveness. The objective of this study is to evaluate and compare the bond strength of acrylic resin teeth treated with various conditioning materials lik...
